HUD has published a Coordinated Entry Guidebook, focusing on the four core elements of Access, Assessment, Prioritization, and Referral. The Guidebook covers basic requirements and advanced considerations for each core element.
This Guidebook is intended to be a comprehensive tool for CoCs that are designing and implementing coordinated entry. Coordinated Entry Evaluation Tool Communities can use this tool as a quick way to assess how well their coordinated entry system is functioning.
The tool has two parts: one part should be completed before coordinated intake has been implemented, and one part should be completed six months to. If other strategies of systems change are part of coordinated entry, either formally or informally, they should be included in the evaluation process, for example: Coordinated entry and tailored services.
Coordinated entry, prevention, and rapid re-housing. Coordinated entry that. The Coordinated Assessment system (CAT) is a proven national best practice and all housing and service providers in the county are encouraged to participate.
When implemented effectively, coordinated assessment can minimize the time and frustration consumers who are in crisis may face when trying to access services and also.
